PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

Peachtree Dance provides dance education for ages 18 months – adult in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Pointe, Contemporary, Irish, and Musical Theater. We are passionate about teaching strong dance technique in a warm, creative, and supportive environment. Our instructors have collegiate-level dance training and professional performance experience.

PEACHTREE DANCE COMPANY

Peachtree Dance is home to Peachtree Dance Company, a pre-professional program for dancers ages 7-17. PDC provides training, performance opportunities, and outlets for creativity and comradeship, with the intention of preparing for opportunities in high school and beyond. Peachtree Dance Company performs throughout Metro Atlanta and is available for booking August-May.

TUITION & PAYMENT POLICIES

When you register, your child has a space reserved in his/her class for the full school year. We offer semester and monthly tuition plans. Semester tuition is due at registration and January 8, 2024. Monthly billing is due the 15th of the month from August-May. A credit card is kept on file for automatic billing. A $10 late fee will be charged for monthly tuition clients who have not settled fees past the 20th of each month. We require 30 days' written notice to discontinue monthly and semester billing. We offer open enrollment, prorated tuition, and multi-class discounts.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT PROCEDURES

Dancers will check in at the south side of Peachtree Gym outside the double doors leading to the Dance Hallway. Upon arrival to Peachtree Gym, parents and guardians must park in the parking lot on the south side of Peachtree Gym and walk their dancers to the double doors leading to the Dance Hallway.

Check in will begin five minutes before the class start time. When it is time for check in to begin, we will open the double doors to the Dance Hallway.

Check out will take place at the south side of Peachtree Gym outside the doors leading to the Dance Hallway five minutes before the conclusion of your dancer's class.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please drop off and pick up your dancer within five minutes of the scheduled time. Three tardies count as one absence. Three absences per class are allowed per semester. Your dancer may attend an unlimited amount of make-up classes in the fall semester, and up to three make-up classes in the spring semester. Make up classes must be scheduled with the Director in advance.

STUDIO LOCATIONS

The Dance Department is the second floor of Peachtree Gym. Our studios are Rooms 2402, 2403, 2404, and 2405. Dancers will enter the building on the south side of Peachtree Gym at the double doors leading to the Dance Hallway.

DRESS CODE

Dress code is strongly enforced. Dress code helps instructors see students’ alignment more clearly. When students are properly dressed, they feel prepared for class and move with greater ease. Hair is an important aspect of dress code.

TRIAL CLASSES

Prospective students may attend a complimentary trial class prior to registering. Trial classes must be scheduled through the Dance Office in advance. Email Director of Dance Esther Darden at to schedule a trial class. Please print and submit the below Trial Class Form to the instructor at the start of class. Completion of this form is required before participating.

PERFORMANCES

Please note that some of the information below is tentative. We will provide confirmation on our Holiday Concert, Spring Recital, and Spring Recital Dress Rehearsal dates as soon as we can. If we are able to move forward with our planned 2023 Holiday Concert, and 2024 Spring Recital, the following information will apply:

All classes participate in both the Holiday Concert, and spring recital with the exception of Mommy & Me and Itty Bitty Ballet classes. Holiday Concert will take place on Saturday, December 16.

Spring Recital and costume fees are due November 3, 2023. Spring Recital will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Spring Recital Dress Rehearsal will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
